HarbourVest Partners was founded in 1982 originally as Hancock Venture Partners, a subsidiary of John Hancock Insurance. It is today an independent global private markets asset manager managing over US$150bn AUM across all private equity strategies. HarbourVest has long-standing relationships with private equity managers globally, providing exceptional access to sought-after funds, secondary transactions, and co-investments that are often unavailable to the wider market.

The HarbourVest Global Private Equity (HVPE) is a FTSE 250 closed-ended investment trust listed on the London Stock Exchange. HVPE invests exclusively in and alongside HarbourVest’s managed multi-manager vehicles which focus on primary fund commitments, secondary investments and direct co-investments in operating companies. HVPE takes a long-term rolling 5-year view in building and maintaining its portfolio, and provides investors a complete private markets solution through continuous investments in 4 key phases of the private equity cycle - Commitment, Investment, Growth, and Maturity. This results in a diversified global private assets portfolio across geography, sectors, strategy, and vintage.
